Visual Prototype
A clickable prototype that looks like the finished product with no code behind it. The user solves a real task in it, and you watch where they get stuck.
- Can they use it?
- Will they use it?
Visual Prototype
Build a clickable prototype of [product] for [target group]. It should cover one path only: the user must be able to [task] from start to finish. Create the five to eight screens the path needs, with real content and buttons that lead on. Anything outside the path can stay empty, so the test is about what we want to learn.
The prompt is copied when you open Figma Make. Paste it there.
- Build only the path you need to test, in Figma or similar. Everything else is a dead end.
- Recruit five users from the target group and give them a task to complete.
- Measure how many reach the goal unaided, and where it breaks down.
One to two weeks including testing.
- The idea is chosen, and the question is whether people can work it out.
- You need something concrete to show leadership or a customer.
